Job summary

Sika Corporation seeks a warehouse associate in Michigan to support production and shipping operations. Responsibilities include following schedules, accurately completing orders, labeling containers and packaging, and maintaining a clean, safe work area.

You will also assist in inventory accuracy, operate a forklift safely, and support other production areas as needed by the Manufacturing Manager. Candidates should have a high school diploma and 1–2 years of relevant experience.

  • Ability to read, write, and perform basic math.
  • 1-2 years of relevant work experience.
  • Must have ability to lift 50 lbs repeatedly.

Responsibilities

  • Take direction from Team Leader and/or Supervisor.
  • Follow schedule created by the Planner/Scheduler.
  • Complete manufacturing orders quickly, accurately, and carefully.
  • Accurately label containers and boxes, ensure legible and correct labels.
  • Adopt good housekeeping practices and report spills.
  • Identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
  • Accurately account for timesheets and manufacturing orders.
  • Verify batch numbers and product descriptions match orders.
  • Count containers and place on skids safely and efficiently.
  • Clean vessels, tools, and work area to remove residual material.
  • Handle bulk containers, skids, and excess packaging to maintain inventory accuracy.
  • Operate forklift safely.
  • Account for packaging or production supplies used.
  • Wear appropriate safety equipment.
  • Support other areas of production as designated by Manufacturing Manager.

Responsibilities
  • Take direction from Team Leader and/or Supervisor
  • Follow schedule created by the Planner/Scheduler
  • Complete manufacturing orders quickly, accurately, and carefully
  • Accurately label containers as required, making sure labels are clean in appearance, free from wrinkles and match manufacturing instruction
  • Accurately label boxes including ingredient labels as required
  • Adopt good housekeeping practices such as cleaning, organizing, and removing trash Immediately report and clean spills
  • Identify opportunities for continuous improvement
  • Accurately account for on-time timesheets and manufacturing orders
  • Verify batch numbers and product descriptions match manufacturing orders
  • Accurately count containers, place in boxes or on skids in a safe, orderly, and efficient manner
  • Clean vessels, tools, containers, and work area well to assure residual material is not present
  • Upon completion of a manufacturing order, remove bulk containers, skids, and excess packaging to maintain inventory accuracy
  • Operate fork truck in a safe, cautious manner
  • Accurately account for packaging or production supplies used
  • Wear appropriate safety equipment
  • Supporting other areas of production as designated by the Manufacturing Manager (shipping, receiving packaging, deliveries)
Education and Experience

High School Diploma or equivalent preferred

  • Ability to read, write, and perform basic math
  • 1-2 years of relevant work experience
  • Fork Truck experience preferred.
  • Must have ability to lift 50 lbs. repeatedly throughout the day.
  • Needs to be able to work on own or with other employees.
  • Dependability - requires being reliable, responsible, and dependable, and fulfilling obligations.
