Job summary

SpaceX is seeking a State and Local Government Affairs Manager (Pacific) to advance state government relations for SpaceX and SpaceXSI across the Pacific region. The role emphasizes legislative strategy, stakeholder engagement, and policy support for SpaceX’s facilities.

Bachelor’s degree and 5+ years in public or government affairs are required. Travel and onsite work are expected; strong communication and relationship-building skills are highly valued.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• 5+ years of experience in public or government affairs.
• Experience with state/local policy, advocacy, legislative navigation or crisis management.

Responsibilities

• Lead engagement with state and local leaders across the designated region to support core SpaceX and SpaceXSI priorities
• Develop, maintain, and build‑upon a network of relationships with local government officials, lawmakers, and regulatory decision-makers
• Monitor and analyze local and regional policy developments
• Perform research as needed, develop policy and collateral materials
• Support the Director of Government Affairs with statewide government relations priorities as needed
