Job summary

SpaceX is seeking a State and Local Government Affairs Manager (Pacific) to advance state government relations, focusing on legislative strategy, stakeholder engagement, and policy support across the Pacific region of the United States.

You will lead relationships with state/local officials, monitor policy developments, and support SpaceX’s priorities. Travel to onsite locations is required; remote work is not available and weekends may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• 5+ years of experience in public or government affairs, including state/local policy, advocacy, and/or legislative navigation and crisis/issue management.

Responsibilities

• Lead engagement with state and local leaders across the Pacific region to support SpaceX and SpaceXSI priorities.
• Develop, maintain, and build relationships with local government officials, lawmakers, and regulatory decision-makers.
• Monitor and analyze local and regional policy developments.
• Perform research as needed, develop policy and collateral materials.
• Support the Director of Government Affairs with statewide government relations priorities as needed.
