Job summary

Kaiser Permanente is seeking a Cardiac Device Technician in California to perform thorough interrogation and re-programming of CIEDs, including pacemakers and ICDs, with in-person, remote, and phone-capable workflows. You will conduct device analysis, generate preliminary reports, and alert physicians of urgent issues requiring attention.

Responsibilities include programming per physician orders, threshold testing, remote monitoring coordination, and documentation in the EHR while ensuring

Qualifications

• Minimum two years in Cardiac Device experience or equivalent in CIED industry
• Current KP Coalition employees waiver per National Agreement
• High School Diploma or Cardiovascular/Allied Health training required
• Basic Life Support certification required
• RCES/RCIS certification within 6 months of hire
• IBHRE certification preferred
• AS/BA degree preferred

Responsibilities

• Interrogate, reprogram and analyze CIEDs per physician orders under supervision
• Conduct acute and chronic threshold testing
• Analyze and report device diagnostics; provide initial and final reports
• Document in EHR per physician standards
• Coordinate and manage remote monitoring programs (Merlin.net, Carelink, Latitude)
• Provide patient education and relay physician recommendations
• Support Cardiac Monitoring Center as needed
