Job summary

Prisma Health in Columbia, SC seeks a skilled cardiac device clinic coordinator to support rhythm diagnosis patients and those with implanted pacemakers or ICDs. The role involves coordinating daily clinic operations, performing device checks in person or by phone, reprogramming devices as directed, and ensuring device function meets physician-approved parameters.

You will educate patients, arrange follow-ups, and collaborate with cardiologists and electrophysiologists on treatment plans.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Cardiac Device School
• IBHRE certification preferred
• Post-high-school education in allied health or nursing field and 2 years of cardiac device management and function experience

Responsibilities

• Coordinates daily function of the pacemaker or defibrillator clinic(s)
• Performs device checks on patients in office or trans-telephonically
• Reprograms devices as directed by physician to achieve optimal pacemaker performance
• Educates patients and provides follow-up reminders on device checks
• Collaborates with physicians regarding device function and treatment plan
• Applies Holter and Event monitoring and coordinates interpretation of monitors
• Provides clinicians with full diagnostic reports from monitoring and device checks
• Maintains records and documentation on patient devices
