Job summary

Family Health Centers of San Diego is seeking a Regular Full Time Meals Driver to support the PACE program. You will deliver meals to participants' homes and satellite facilities, ensure correct temperatures, and maintain accurate logs of meals, temperature checks and mileage.

Applicants must have a High School diploma or GED, a valid California drivers license, a Food Handler Permit (within 90 days), access to a car, and be able to travel between sites in the San Diego area.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Food Handler Permit required within 90 days of hire.
• Active California drivers license required.
• Must have a car and proof of minimum levels of car insurance.
• Travel between sites is required.
• Ability to communicate with diverse staff and clients.
• 1 year related experience preferred.
• Knowledge of the San Diego area.

Responsibilities

• Deliver meals to PACE participants' homes and satellite facilities.
• Deliver meals promptly to maintain correct holding temperatures.
• Maintain accurate records of meals, temperature logs, and vehicle mileage.
• Follow food safety guidelines including personal hygiene and hair nets.
• Assist in packaging and packing of meals as needed.
• Assist with meal preparation as needed.
• Assist with meals in Day Center as needed.
• May work at satellite facilities as needed.
• Maintain a clean vehicle and routine maintenance.
• Adhere to PACE Policies and HIPAA guidelines.
• Ensure compliance with state, federal and local regulations.
• Maintain a safe working environment.
• Participates in continuing education and required trainings.
• Participates in Quality Improvement Initiatives.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
