Job summary

St. Paul PACE Corp in San Diego, CA is seeking a full-time Transportation Aide to safely and promptly transport participants, meals, and equipment. You will ensure daily vehicle cleanliness and safety and report any safety concerns to the Transportation Supervisor.

Ideal candidates will have a high school diploma or equivalent and a valid California Class B drivers license, with experience relocating individuals with mobility needs or related training.

Job description

This is a full-time position - variable schedule with shifts starting at 8:00 am to 4:30 pm.

Job Summary

Responsible for the safe and timely transportation of St. Paul's PACE participants. Including transport of participants, meals, durable medical equipment, pharmacy, and any other transportation as deemed necessary. Responsible for overall cleanliness and safety of the vehicle assigned on a daily basis. Responsible for communicating any safety issue to the Transportation Supervisor.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; Valid California Drivers License - Class B.
• Experience: Be capable of and experienced in transporting individuals with special mobility needs required. Shall have either training or related in the job assigned.

Skills and Knowledge

• Able to read and understand maps and routing information to navigate with in the San Diego area.
• Knowledge of safety requirements pertaining to the transportation industry.
• Requires individual who can coordinate multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Skilled in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with participants, caregivers, and co-workers
• Proficient in identifying and recommending problem resolution.
• Ability to work independently with minimum supervision.
