Family Health Centers of San Diego is seeking a Driver for the PACE program. The role involves operating a wheelchair-accessible van to transport participants between homes, the PACE Center, and community locations, with daily safety inspections and routine maintenance. The driver will register patients, screen for financial assistance, manage co-pays, and document all actions in the E.M.R.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
• Requires an active California driver’s license for the class required for the operation of the assigned vehicle.
• DRIVER REQUIREMENTS: Age 21; Licensed for a minimum of 3 years; No violations and/or accidents within 3 years; No vehicle-related suspensions/reinstatements; No DUI, reckless or felony Driving within 7 years.

Responsibilities

• Drive the PACE van between participants' homes, the PACE Center, and community locations; routes may change daily.
• Conduct a daily safety inspection of the vehicle and report mechanical issues.
• Maintain daily vehicle cleaning, fueling, oil/fluids checks, and ensure safe operating condition.
• Keep maintenance records current and coordinate routine/episodic service.
• Register patients and screen for financial assistance; enter data into FHCSD system and collect co-pays.
• Complete required documentation accurately and timely per department standards, including vehicle logs and EMR entries.
