Job summary

SAN-Ysidro-Health is seeking an Activity Aide to support the Activity Coordinator in delivering engaging programs for frail elderly participants. You will coordinate daily activities, assist with exercise/maintenance programs, and document activities to ensure participant safety and well-being.

Responsibilities include planning monthly calendars, assisting with events, guiding staff and volunteers, and providing personal care support as needed.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED completed; one year experience in a patient activities program with the elderly or disabled preferred.
• Flexibility, initiative, creativity and excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Bilingual (English/Spanish).

Responsibilities

• Assists in planning and implementing activities for frail elderly participants.
• Coordinates daily activity schedule and documentation.
• Provides recreational therapy opportunities and staff training as needed.
• Maintains center safety, cleanliness and supply organization.
• Travels locally to PACE sites to deliver supplies as required.
