Job summary

The Shores Post Acute is seeking an Activities Assistant in San Diego to provide routine daily activities for residents in accordance with care plans. You will identify residents, organize engaging recreational, physical, educational, social and spiritual activities, and ensure participation across varying levels of functioning.

You will assist in obtaining physician and responsible party clearance for off-campus passes, document participation, and maintain tidy activity spaces per state

Qualifications

• Must have at least 6 months experience in organizing and providing planned group activities.
• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.

Responsibilities

• Identify residents before activities using wristbands or photos.
• Organize, implement and direct scheduled activities for groups and individuals.
• Monitor and supervise residents to ensure safety during activities.
• Assist Activities Director with obtaining approvals for off-site activities and field trips.
• Maintain clear documentation in resident charts and logs as required by policy.
