Job summary

Extended Care, LLC is seeking an energetic Activity Aide to enrich residents' daily living with engaging programs and social activities. You will help run group and individual activities tailored to each resident’s needs and care plans, while maintaining accurate records and calendars.

The role focuses on creating enjoyable, safe, and meaningful experiences, encouraging participation in Resident Council meetings, and adhering to facility policies.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of experience in a social or recreational program in a healthcare setting (preferred).
• Experience facilitating group activities.
• Ability to complete resident records per facility policy.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate ongoing group and individual activity programs based on residents’ needs, interests, and abilities, as identified in assessments and care plans.
• Complete required record-keeping upon resident admission, discharge, and transfer; chart and document per facility policy.
• Assist in creating the activity calendar and coordinating events.
• Follow and maintain established policies and procedures.
• Encourage resident participation in Resident Council and schedule monthly meetings.
