Job summary

Dominican University is seeking a PAC/ES Ambassador to assist with event operations at the Performing Arts Center and Event Services. You will greet guests, help with setup and tear down, maintain space safety, and support performances with basic backstage tasks and customer service.

This student role offers evening and weekend shifts, typically 5–10 hours per week, with an hourly rate of $15.00. Eligible for US employment, you’ll gain hands-on experience in hospitality and live arts operations.

Responsibilities

• Greet and assist guests, answer questions, and help attendees feel welcome.
• Set up and tear down event spaces, moving tables, chairs, and equipment.
• Keep spaces clean, safe, and well-lit between activities.
• Support performances with backstage tasks and customer service in front-of-house roles.
• Track attendance and report event turnout to team leads.
• Coordinate with Custodial, Campus Safety, and Maintenance as needed.

About the Job:

The Performing Arts Center and Event Services team helps run hundreds of events every year at DU — welcoming over 50,000 guests! We’re looking for friendly, outgoing students who enjoy fast-paced work, helping people, and being part of live arts and events.

As a PAC/ES Ambassador, you’ll help set up for events, greet guests, keep things running smoothly, and represent DU with pride! This is a great opportunity to gain real-world experience in hospitality, event production, and the arts — all while being part of a fun, supportive team!

What You’ll Do:

• Greet & Help Guests – Welcome attendees, answer questions (like where the bathrooms are!), and make everyone feel at home.
• Set Up & Tear Down Events – Move tables, chairs, decorations, and equipment before and after events.
• Keep the Space Clean & Safe – Make sure event areas are tidy, well-lit, and free of clutter, as well as scheduled facility cleanings.
• Support Performances – Help with simple backstage tasks like taping cables, running cues, or doing mic checks (don’t worry, we’ll show you how) as well performing excellent customer service in front of house roles.
• Track Attendance – Count and report how many people attend each event.
• Work With Other Departments – Know how to contact Custodial, Campus Safety, or Maintenance teams if needed.
