Job summary

Dominican University is seeking a PAC/ES Ambassador to assist with event operations at the Performing Arts Center and Event Services. You will greet guests, help with setup and tear down, maintain space safety, and support performances with basic backstage tasks and customer service.

This student role offers evening and weekend shifts, typically 5–10 hours per week, with an hourly rate of $15.00. Eligible for US employment, you’ll gain hands-on experience in hospitality and live arts operations.

Qualifications

• Must be a friendly and professional student with a welcoming demeanor.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills are required for guest services.
• Ability to think quickly and solve problems during events.
• Physical ability to lift 25+ lbs and assist with event setup.
• Basic computer skills including PowerPoint, Excel, and Zoom.
• Willingness to take feedback and follow instructions.
• Must be organized and on-time, with a flexible schedule.

Responsibilities

• Greet and assist guests, answer questions, and help attendees feel welcome.
• Set up and tear down event spaces, moving tables, chairs, and equipment.
• Keep spaces clean, safe, and well-lit between activities.
• Support performances with backstage tasks and customer service in front-of-house roles.
• Track attendance and report event turnout to team leads.
• Coordinate with Custodial, Campus Safety, and Maintenance as needed.
