Job summary

Qualifications

• BS in a technical field from ABET-accredited college.
• Five years of applicable technical experience; Master’s degree counts as one year.
• Knowledge of regulations, guides, standards, codes, methods and practices.
• Business knowledge in the utility & regulated environment.
• Ability to apply sound judgment to decisions.
• Strong interpersonal and relationship development skills.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to interact with internal and external customers.
• Excellent team player and ability to prioritize assignments.
• Problem-solving skills to resolve engineering issues.

Responsibilities

• Performs assignments in specialized areas requiring technical expertise.
• Reviews functional specifications for completeness and limitations.
• Collaborates in multi-disciplinary teams.
• Reviews technical documentation as needed.
• Work planning, coordination, budgeting, and cost estimating.
• Develops/upgrades single line diagrams and equipment specifications.
• Supports material procurement.
• QA/QC, closing gaps, documenting lessons learned.
• Provides technical support to field/construction groups.
• Improves technical processes and standards.
• Delivers reporting and presentations to work groups and management.
• May require extended hours and storm restoration duties.
