Job summary

LUMA Energy in Puerto Rico seeks an Electrical Engineer to lead and coordinate engineering activities, handling complex and non-routine challenges with high technical aptitude and teamwork. You will influence project decisions, apply technical knowledge to promote safety and customer satisfaction, and provide expert guidance to field and construction teams.

Occasional extended hours and storm restoration drills may be required.

Qualifications

• BS in Electrical Engineering from ABET-accredited college.
• Eight years of applicable engineering experience.
• Master’s degree counts as one year.

Responsibilities

• Leads and supports projects within scope, schedule, and cost.
• Reviews and authenticates designs.
• Provides technical support to field and construction groups.
• Develops and updates diagrams, drawings, and equipment specifications.
• Mentors junior engineers and designers.
• Represents LUMA in industry technical activities.
• Acts as an expert witness when required.
