Job summary

LUMA Energy in Puerto Rico seeks an entry-level Asset & Equipment Engineer to help govern technical requirements and lifecycle standards for major electrical equipment. You will coordinate vendor engineering, integrate lessons learned into standards, and provide technical support for replacement and investment decisions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a technical field or BS Electrical Engineering from ABET-accredited college.
• Zero to two years of professional engineering experience.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills required.

Responsibilities

• Performs assignments in specialized areas requiring technical expertise.
• Reviews functional specifications for completeness and consideration of practical limitations.
• Coordinates activities as a member of a multi-disciplinary team.
• May support the review of technical documentation.
• Supports basic work planning, coordination, budgeting, and cost estimating.
• May support the development and updates of single line diagrams, and equipment specifications for engineering review and approval.
• Supports material procurement.
• Collaborates with activities in the QA/QC process.
• Provides basic technical support to field and construction groups.
• Utilizes and improves processes and standards.
• Provides reporting, including presentations to work groups and management.
