Job summary

Mission Mobile Medical in Poplar Bluff, MO, is seeking a PA for our Mobile Health Program to deliver primary care directly in the community.

You will conduct exams, manage chronic diseases, perform histories, and coordinate with a team of nurses and physicians while traveling with the mobile clinic.

Qualifications

• Master's PA degree with NCCPA certification.
• Missouri PA licensure or eligibility with collaborative practice agreement in place.
• Experience in primary care or community health preferred.
• Experience with EHR preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conduct physical exams and diagnose/treat acute and chronic illnesses.
• Take medical histories, perform exams, and order/interpret diagnostic tests.
• Develop and manage treatment plans for chronic diseases.
• Document patient records in an electronic health record (EHR) system.
• Administrative duties including clinic operations, scheduling, and insurance verification.
• Administer vaccinations and deliver preventive care.
• Collaborate with supervising physicians, nurses, and medical assistants.
• Engage in community outreach to raise awareness of mobile clinic services.
• Participate in leadership planning for growth opportunities.

General Tasks

• Primary Care Services: Conduct physical exams, diagnose and treat acute and chronic illnesses, and provide routine primary care to improve patient health outcomes.
• Patient Assessments: Take medical histories, perform physical examinations, and order and interpret diagnostic tests.
• Chronic Disease Management: Develop and manage treatment plans for chronic conditions such as diabetes, hypertension, and asthma.
• Documentation: Maintain accurate and timely patient records using electronic health record (EHR) systems.
• Administrative Duties: Include but not limited to assisting with opening/closing the clinic, inventory, patient follow-up, verifying insurance, collecting payment, scheduling appointments, and maintaining a clean environment.
• Preventive Care: Administer vaccinations, conduct health screenings, and educate patients on disease prevention and healthy lifestyles.
• Collaboration: Work with supervising physicians, nurses, and medical assistants to deliver comprehensive care.
• Community Outreach: Participate in outreach activities to raise awareness about the mobile clinic’s services and engage with the community.
• Actively participating in leadership-level planning for the best growth opportunities.

• Education:
  • Master's degree from an accredited Physician Assistant program, with current NCCPA (National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants) certification.
  • Currently licensed or eligible for Missouri PA licensure, with a collaborative practice agreement in place
• Experience:
  • Clinical experience in primary care or community health preferred
  • Experience with EHR preferred
• Performance: Able and willing to provide world-class service to all stakeholders

Work Environment

100% Onsite – PA is expected to travel with the mobile clinic team to nearby mobile health locations. This role is based out of Poplar Bluff, MO.

• 80 PTO hours available after the first 60 days of service
