Job summary

Mission Mobile Medical in Missouri seeks an APRN with WHNP certification to lead women’s health within our mobile clinic. This role emphasizes access, community focus, and program leadership, with travel to nearby mobile sites.

You will provide comprehensive women’s health services, conduct assessments, coordinate care, document in the EHR, and contribute to program development. Temporary relocation to Poplar Bluff, MO may be required; compensation reflects leadership and mobility

Qualifications

• Master's or DNP APRN with WHNP board certification (NCC or equivalent).
• Currently licensed or eligible for Missouri APRN licensure.
• Clinical experience in women’s health services preferred; CNM preferred.
• Able and willing to provide world-class service to all stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive women’s health services within the mobile clinic setting.
• Conduct thorough patient evaluations including histories, exams, and appropriate testing.
• Provide preventive care, vaccinations, screenings, nutrition counseling, and education.
• Coordinate care with other professionals for continuity and timely follow-up.
• Screen for and manage chronic conditions with appropriate referrals.
• Maintain accurate, timely patient records in the EHR.
• Assist with daily mobile clinic operations including space prep, supplies, scheduling, and safety.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses and program staff for patient-centered care.
• Engage in community outreach to raise awareness of women’s health services.
• Lead program development and quality improvement to expand access.

General Tasks

• Women’s Health Services: Provide comprehensive women’s health services within the mobile clinic setting.
• Patient Assessments: Conduct thorough patient evaluations including medical histories, physical examinations, and ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests and laboratory results as appropriate.
• Preventive Care and Health Education: Provide preventive health services including vaccinations, health screenings, nutrition counseling, and patient education.
• Care Coordination and Referrals: Coordinate care with other medical and behavioral health professionals to ensure continuity of care and timely follow-up for patients requiring additional support.
• Chronic Condition Screening and Management: Screen for and manage conditions that impact health, such as hypertension, diabetes, anemia, and behavioral health concerns, while coordinating referrals when advanced care is needed.
• Documentation: Maintain accurate, complete, and timely patient records in the electronic health record (EHR) system, ensuring compliance with clinical, regulatory, and organizational standards.
• Mobile Clinic Operations Support: Assist with daily mobile clinic operations including preparing the clinical space, managing supplies and inventory, supporting patient intake and follow-up, verifying insurance when applicable, scheduling appointments, and maintaining a clean and safe clinical environment.
• Collaboration: Work closely with physicians, nurses, medical assistants, community health workers, and program staff to deliver coordinated, patient-centered care.
• Community Outreach and Engagement: Participate in community outreach activities to increase awareness of women’s health services offered through the mobile clinic, while building relationships with local organizations and community partners.
• Leadership and Program Development: Serve as a clinical champion for the mobile clinic program by contributing to program development, quality improvement efforts, and strategic planning to expand access to women’s health services.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Education:
• Master's or DNP Nurse Practitioner (APRN) with completion of an accredited APRN program, with current Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner (WHNP) Board Certification through the National Certification Corporation (NCC) or equivalent certifying body.
• Currently licensed or eligible for Missouri APRN licensure
• Experience:
• Clinical experience in women’s health services preferred
• Certified Nurse Midwife preferred
• Experience with EHR preferred
• Performance: Able and willing to provide world-class service to all stakeholders

Work Environment

100% Onsite – APRN is expected to travel with the mobile clinic team to nearby mobile health locations.

• 80 PTO hours available after the first 60 days of service
