Job summary

Northeastern University in Seattle is recruiting a Director of Clinical Education (DCE) and Open Rank Clinical Professor for the Physician Assistant Program. The role provides leadership of the clinical component, develops clinical partnerships, oversees clinical years, and mentors students.

The Open Rank Professor will teach didactics, contribute to curriculum quality, engage in scholarship, and support accreditation efforts.

Qualifications

• Master's or higher in a health profession, health sciences, education, or related field (doctorate preferred).
• PA candidates: NCCPA certification; physician candidates: ABMS or AOA board certification.
• Licensed or eligible for licensure in Washington state.
• Experience in PA education, including faculty, clinical coordination, or program administration.
• Familiarity with ARC-PA accreditation standards and regulatory requirements.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership for the clinical phase of the PA curriculum and oversight of clinical partnerships.
• Develop and monitor clinical rotation sites, site visits, and preceptor development.
• Coordinate clinical education workflows and ensure ARC-PA compliance.
• Design, implement, and evaluate didactic and clinical experiences with a focus on student outcomes.
• Mentor students, advise on progression, and oversee end-of-rotation assessments.
• Engage in scholarship, service, and accreditation activities to advance PA education.
• Lead program administration and partner with the Program Director on mission and goals.
