Job summary

Franklin Pierce University in Round Rock, Texas seeks a Director of Clinical Education for the Master of Physician Assistant Studies program. The DCE will organize the clinical education phase, develop curriculum, and coordinate clinical courses while supporting administration and teaching duties.

The position requires clinical experience, teaching or preceptorship background, and a master's degree with eligibility for licensure as a PA/NP/MD/DO. Travel to rotation sites is expected.

Qualifications

• Must have knowledge of educational, management, and adult learning theory and principles and be able to administer, assess, and document programmatic education trends and data.
• Previous teaching experience or preceptorship is preferred.
• Faculty shall be a graduate of an accredited PA program or have related health degree (MD/PhD/NP/DO), with a minimum of a master's degree.

Responsibilities

• Organize and develop the clinical education phase of the PA program, including curriculum development, delivery, and review.
• As a core faculty member, assist in administration of the program and participate in teaching assignments and clinical course coordination.
• Provide academic advising, admissions and recruitment, program evaluation, and participate in institutional activities and committees.
• Facilitate quality learning experiences for students and evaluate student performance in cooperation with faculty.
