Job summary

Northeastern University invites applications for Open Rank Clinical Professor and Director of Didactic Education in the Department of Medical Sciences at the Seattle campus. The role leads the didactic curriculum, ensures quality and accreditation readiness, and mentors PA students while engaging in scholarly activity.

The position is a 52-week, 1.0 FTE, non-tenure-track faculty role with teaching, program administration, and service expectations across the PA program.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in a field related to physician assistant practice or education; doctorate preferred.
• Currently NCCPA certified.
• Licensed or eligible for licensure in Washington state.
• Minimum of three years of clinical experience as a practicing clinician.
• Experience in PA education and familiarity with ARC-PA standards.

Responsibilities

• Lead didactic curriculum design and assessment across the PA program.
• Coordinate, teach, and oversee didactic courses and clinical rotation sites.
• Monitor student performance and advise on remediation and progression.
• Collaborate with didactic and clinical education leaders to ensure accreditation readiness.
• Engage in research, scholarship, and program administration.
