Job summary

The McDonnel Group in Metairie, LA is seeking a P6 Project Scheduler to join the project team. You will manage schedules for large industrial and public projects using Primavera P6 and Procore, coordinating with PMs, field leadership, and stakeholders.

The ideal candidate has 7–10 years in commercial construction and 5+ years as a scheduler, with strong analytical, communication, and planning skills. This role is on-site with travel as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in construction management or engineering.
• Procore and Primavera P6 proficiency required.
• 7–10 years commercial construction experience; 5+ years as project scheduler.
• Experience scheduling and managing public projects.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office.
• Must pass pre-employment background, driving and drug screen.
• Must possess a valid driver’s license and clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Manage schedules and reporting for large industrial projects.
• Establish baselines including procurement, material/equipment lead times, and resource loading.
• Review subcontractor schedules and incorporate into baselines.
• Generate time impact analyses for requests for additional contract time.
• Maintain Procore/PS6 databases and collaborate with project teams.
• Update schedules reflecting progress and revised execution plans.
• Participate in scheduling meetings and provide guidance on schedule-related matters.
• Ensure compliance with scheduling policies and standards.
• Prepare project documentation related to scheduling activities.
