Job summary

SIG group is seeking an HR Generalist to coordinate and execute HR operations regionally for the United States and Canada, with a focus on OD initiatives, training, onboarding, and employee development.

You will partner with supervisors, support performance reviews, engagement surveys, and compliance, while managing immigration-related processes and policy updates in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Communications or a related field preferred.
  • PHR/SHRM certification preferred.
  • Proficient with Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint & Word.
  • Proficiency with or the ability to quickly learn the LM system, InSIGht

Responsibilities

  • Partners with employees and/or line managers to guide them through HR processes and initiatives, with a specific emphasis on OD/Training processes and initiatives.
  • Assists with developing and implementing training and onboarding programs.
  • Supports HR events, employee meetings, HR initiatives & programs, including the annual performance review process, engagement surveys, wellness program, recognition & training programs.
  • Reviews, tracks, and documents compliance with mandatory and non-mandatory training and continuing education.
  • Collaborates with HRBP and management to address employee relations issues; examines and analyzes situations, recommends solutions and consults with legal, as necessary.
  • Maintains compliance with federal, state and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews policies and procedures to maintain compliance. Assists with updating and maintaining the company Policy Handbook.
  • Coordinate employee relocation and immigration support, including visa and green card processes, in partnership with external immigration counsel and internal stakeholders, ensuring timely and compliant execution.
  • Manage administrative processes, e.g., employee records maintenance.
  • Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources and employment law.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in HR/Business Administration or related field
PHR/SHRM certification preferred

Job description

The HR Generalist coordinates and executes HR operational activities in a fast-paced, demanding environment with the ability to serve as a strategic partner to supervisors as well as a tactical, frontline resource. Responsible for the administration of human resource functions and duties on a regional basis. Supports the construction, planning and execution of activities related to OD initiatives in the United States and Canada, including performance management, employee engagement, onboarding/orientation, succession planning and employee development. Provides analysis, communications, and project management activities as well as system and end-user support for our annual training program. This role will also perform a wide range of administrative, human resources, support activities to facilitate the efficient operation of the organization.

Key responsibilities

You bring these skills, experience & education
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Communications or a related field preferred.
