Job summary

Oliver Wyman is seeking a Principal to lead the Property & Casualty Actuarial Consulting M&A practice, overseeing due diligence, data review, and valuation for complex insurance transactions with senior executives.

The role blends advanced actuarial expertise with strategic leadership, client relationship management, and business development, across the US and globally. Hybrid work is supported, with emphasis on delivery, mentorship, and growth of the practice.

Qualifications

• BA/BS degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, Finance or related field.
• 10+ years of professional actuarial experience in consulting or insurance.
• FCAS credential required.
• Proven success managing client relationships and leading complex engagements.
• Strong project management and organizational skills, with ability to manage multiple priorities.

Responsibilities

• Lead actuarial due diligence projects for M&A and reinsurance transactions, reviewing reports, data and models.
• Quantify downside risk with stochastic models.
• Conduct exploratory data analysis on exposure/loss data and summarize findings.
• Develop executive-level management reports and data visualizations.
• Present findings to senior management and C-suite executives.
• Develop networks through industry deals and conferences.
