Job summary

Yamaha Motor US is seeking a P&A Business Development Specialist to drive growth in Parts, Accessories, Apparel, Yamalube, and Licensing from our Marietta, GA facility.

You will manage licensing contracts, coordinate with licensees and internal teams, and lead brand-aligned product planning for apparel and non-genuine accessories, ensuring timely approvals and quality standards.

Qualifications

  • BA/BS Degree in Marketing, Sales or related business field.
  • 3–5 years of Powersports experience preferred.
  • 3–5 years of brand marketing experience preferred.
  • Experience in sales strategy development, market analysis and competitive analysis.
  • Prior licensing, apparel, or accessories experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Grow Parts, Accessories, Apparel, Yamalube, and Licensing business by surfacing opportunities from market trends and customer signals.
  • Coordinate licensing processes, including contract setup and approvals with licensees and vendors.
  • Partner with Sales, Marketing, Supply Chain, and Product Teams to implement growth initiatives and align priorities.
  • Lead the development, review, and approval of Basic Purchase Agreements (BPA) with internal stakeholders.
  • Monitor licensee performance and assist in tracking sales and royalty reports and compliance.
  • Prepare monthly status reports including sales, inventory, royalties, and project updates.
  • Ensure apparel and licensed products align with brand strategy and quality standards.
  • Travel up to 15% to meet vendors and support consumer events and dealer meetings.

Job description

Yamaha is seeking to fill a P&A Business Development Specialist for our facility located in Marietta, GA. The P&A Business Development Specialist is responsible for executing initiatives that support revenue growth and increase our brand presence in the market. This role will research, identify, and implement opportunities to grow our Parts, Accessories, Apparel, Yamalube, and Licensing businesses. The position is responsible for product planning for apparel, licensing, and non-genuine accessories that ensure alignment with our brand standards, timelines, and business objectives. This role will also manage the day-to-day administration of licensed products and apparel business, including contract agreements, product approvals, and overseeing artwork reviews.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Proactively looks for opportunities to grow Parts, Accessories, Apparel, Yamalube,andLicensing business. Monitor market trends, competitor activities, andcustomerdemand signals to surface actionable opportunities.Support development and execution of new business partnerships, licensing opportunities, and supplier relations. Partner with Sales, Marketing, Supply Chain, and Product Teams to develop and implement growth initiatives. Align internal stakeholders on priorities, timelines, and expected outcomes.
  • Coordinate day-to-day activities related to apparelandlicensing,including communication with licensees, vendors, and internal stakeholders.Help ensure proper use of trademarks, logos, and brand assets across all licensed and apparel products. Coordinate with suppliers and licensees to resolve issues related to product quality, labeling, packaging, or brand compliance.
  • Leadthe development, review, andapprovalof Basic Purchase Agreements (BPA) in collaboration with Supply Chain, Legal, and other internal stakeholders.Review and route product concepts, artwork, and samples for internal approval to ensure compliance with brand guidelines, trademark usage rules, and quality standards.
  • Manage licensing agency to solicit potentiallicenseesand assist in developing sales presentations and materials. Coordinate onboarding of newlicensees, including contract setup, and internalprocessrequirements.Assist in managing licensing contracts, including tracking agreement status, renewal dates, compliance requirements, and required documentation.Monitor licensee performance and assist in tracking sales reports, royalty reports, and contractual obligations.
  • Supports Product Line Manager on long-term strategy and goals. Prepares and presents monthly status report. Including sales, inventory, royalties, and project updates.Workwith Marketing,Field Sales, andunit product teams to ensure licensed,apparel, and supplier sourced accessoriesalign with brand strategy and business objectives.
  • Responsible for developing an initial sales forecast and overseeing the lifecycle management ofApparel, Yamalube, non-genuine accessories, and licensed products.
  • Maintain organized digital and physical files related to contracts, approvals, artwork, product records, and J-Sox compliance.
  • Travelrequiredto meetwith vendors,supportsales and promotions atconsumer events, industry shows,anddealer meetings.
  • Manages apparel collections and required inventory levels for products sold at Consumer Events
  • Manages licensing process and work with multi-cultural cross-functional teams.

What you need to be successful:

  • BA / BS Degree in Marketing, Sales or otherBusiness-relatedcourse of study is required.
  • 3 - 5 years ofPowersportsor Motorsportsexperience preferred
  • 3- 5 years ofbrand marketing experiencepreferred.
  • Must be experienced in sales strategy development, financial and category analysis, consumer marketing, product placement, and competitive and trend analysis.
  • PriorPowersportsaccessory,apparel,orlicensing experience strongly preferred.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Knowledgeofthe Powersportsindustrypreferred.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Experience working with vendors, suppliers, orlicenseespreferred.
  • Strong organizational and coordination skills.
  • Must have a strong attention to details.
  • Effective written and verbal communication
  • Basic understanding of licensing, trademarks, and branded merchandise programs.
  • Experience with SAP ECC, PTP, EWM preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Word)
  • Must be able to lift 30lbs.
  • Travel up to 15% of the time
