Job summary

Yamaha Motor Corporation, USA is seeking a Motorsports Technical Advisor in Marietta, GA. You will provide technical support to Yamaha dealers and customers for Motorsports products, diagnose and resolve issues, and deliver timely guidance for customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities include coordinating repairs, supporting diagnostics via dealer portals, and collaborating across departments to reach objective resolutions while traveling as needed to assist dealers and customers.

Qualifications

• Technical school certification or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
• 5+ years of experience as a powersports technician, including formal powersports service training.
• Strong technical diagnostic and troubleshooting skills.
• Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
• Demonstrated analytical, problem-solving, and multitasking abilities.

• Provides technical diagnostic support to dealers via phone, email, and dealer portal for Motorsports products.
• Collaborates with Service, Parts, Sales and other departments to address customer and dealer needs.
• Reviews warranty authorizations and claims while adhering to policies and fiscal responsibility.
• Maintains accurate customer and dealer records in applicable systems.
• Supports quality and engineering initiatives with market reports and feedback.

Yamaha has an excellent opportunity for aMotorsports Technical Advisor to join our Motorsports team in Marietta, GA . In this role you will provide technical support to Yamaha dealers and customers for Motorsports (Motorcycle and ROV) products. This role diagnoses and resolves product and service issues, delivers technical guidance, and supports customer satisfaction throughtimelyand effective problem resolution.

What you'll be doing:

• Resolves product and service issues byidentifyingroot causes, recommending corrective actions, coordinating repairs or adjustments, and following up to ensure successful resolution.
• Provides technical diagnostic support to dealers via phone, email, and dealer portal for all Motorsports (Motorcycle, RV) andeBikeproducts, including the use of Yamaha diagnostic tools.
• Collaborates with personnel across Service, Parts, Sales, and other Yamaha departments to gather information and make objective,equitabledecisionsregardingcustomer and dealer support matters.
• Reviews and accuratelyadjudicatewarranty authorizations and claims whilemaintainingfiscal responsibility and adherence to company policies.
• Evaluates dealer and customer requests forassistancerelated to Yamaha products and determinesappropriate supportactionsin accordance withYMUS policies and guidelines.
• Maintainsaccuratecustomer and dealer records by documenting interactions and updating account information in applicable systems.
• Supports factory quality and engineering initiatives by providing market reports, technical documentation, failed parts analysis, and customer feedback related to product concerns.
• Provides technical support and consultation to Customer Relations and Dealer Support teams and travels within the field,as needed,toassistdealers and customers.
• Performs a variety of routine and moderately complex assignments with limited supervision. Exercise independent judgment when negotiating repair costs, authorizing repairs, and determiningappropriatecustomerassistance. Authorized to approve goodwillassistanceup to $2,500in accordance withcompany policy.

What you need to be successful:

• Technical school certification oran equivalentcombination of education and relevant experience.
• 5+ years of experience as a powersports technician, including formal powersports service training.
• Strong technical diagnostic and troubleshooting skills.
• Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
• Demonstrated analytical, problem-solving, and multitasking abilities.
• Proficiencyin Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
• Ability to travel asrequiredto support dealer and customer needs.
• Experience withmotorcycles, side-by-side, ATV's, snowmobiles, or similar recreational vehicle service and diagnostics preferred.
• Experience with dealer management systems and diagnostic software preferred.
