North Texas Municipal Water District (NTMWD) seeks an Instrumentation Technician‑Ozone to supervise flow meter calibration in water and wastewater systems and perform instrumentation troubleshooting, preventative maintenance, and repairs with a focus on safety and compliance.

The role involves coordinating with city staff, ensuring meter accuracy, and training staff while working with various meters, analyzers, PLC/SCADA systems, ozone generators, and associated equipment.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Minimum two years of experience in process control and/or measurement systems in industrial or utility environment.
  • Must possess a valid Electrical Apprentice license or obtain one within 6 months.
  • Obtain certification(s) from meter manufacturer(s).
  • Requires a valid Texas Driver’s License.

Responsibilities

  • Supervises calibration of all flow metering equipment in water and wastewater systems.
  • Calibrates approximately 500 meters on a quarterly or annual basis for billing accuracy.
  • Communicates with city staff to verify meter accuracy.
  • Records calibration data in the District CMMS.
