The City of Oxnard is seeking an Instrumentation & Control Technician to maintain and repair wastewater process instrumentation, SCADA/telemetry systems, and related electrical equipment. You will work with the Wastewater Maintenance team under the Electrical Supervisor to ensure reliable plant operations.

Responsibilities include calibrating sensors, wiring, panel repair, and documenting maintenance activities.

Formación

• High school diploma or GED required; CWEA Grade I Electrical Instrumentation Technician certification within 18 months preferred.
• Minimum three years in installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical, electronics, and instrumentation in wastewater facilities.
• Must be able to communicate effectively in English, both orally and in writing.

Responsabilidades

• Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair instrumentation and control systems in wastewater facilities.
• Configure and troubleshoot PLC, HMI, SCADA, and telemetry systems.
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance to maximize reliability and regulatory compliance.
• Read and interpret diagrams, wiring, and loop drawings for installation and troubleshooting.
• Document calibrations and maintenance in the Enterprise Asset Management system.
