Job summary

Chateau Marmont in Los Angeles is seeking an Oyster Shucker for a part-time role in our Food & Beverage team. You will set up and maintain the raw bar, prepare sauces and garnishes, and ensure dishes are delivered with care while upholding our standards.

2+ years in fine dining, ServSafe certification, and flexible availability for nights, weekends, and holidays are required. This position offers an opportunity to work in a historic hotel and contribute to a premium guest experience.

Qualifications

• 2+ years’ experience in a fine dining related position.
• Must have full availability and the ability to work a flexible schedule to include nights, weekends, and holidays.
• 18+ years of age.
• Valid and active ServSafe Food Handler Certificate.
• Adhere to the Employee Handbook and Code of Conduct.
• Able to work unsupervised with focus and attention to detail.
• Oral and written proficiency in English.

Responsibilities

• Sets up and organizes oyster cart and raw bar, ensuring space is cleaned and mise en place is set.
• Maintain inventory of raw products and communicate ordering needs to the Chef or manager.
• Oversee production of sauces, garnishes and any recipe needs as set by the Chef.
• Accurate execution of dishes according to recipes.
• Knowledge of all dishes and ingredients and allergies.
