Job summary

Mott MacDonald is seeking a Design & Construction Integration Manager in Seattle, WA. This senior owner-side role connects the owner, final-design team, and construction partners to convert design intent and contractor input into coordinated, priced work packages.

You will lead contract packaging, constructability, and interface control from final design through early construction, ensuring procurement and scheduling align with program goals. Hybrid work with in-office collaboration required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, construction management, architecture, project management, or a related field.
• Significant experience leading design‑construction integration on a major transit, rail, or heavy‑civil program.
• Experience coordinating multidisciplinary design, commercial, controls, construction, systems, utility, and third‑party teams.
• Strong knowledge of final design, constructability, procurement, cost and schedule development, and sequencing.
• Experience defining and closing interfaces and documenting contractor input and owner decisions.
• Strong communication, workshop facilitation, negotiation, and coordination skills.
• Knowledge of integrated master scheduling, independent estimating, risk and contingency management, change control, and procurement governance.

Responsibilities

• Lead integration across complex infrastructure work packages to ensure design is coordinated and constructible.
• Serve as owner-side integration lead among final designer, GCCM, and construction partners.
• Develop and maintain contract packaging strategies, including early works and major packages.
• Manage constructability reviews, access planning, temporary works, and means‑and‑methods.
• Align design deliverables with master schedule and procurement milestones; resolve issues early.
• Maintain interface control across civil, stations, track, and utilities.
• Embed safety, quality, maintainability, and operability requirements in decisions.
