Job summary

Mott MacDonald is seeking an experienced Construction Manager to lead owner-side oversight of a multi-package light rail and heavy-civil program in the Seattle region. You will guide procurement, planning, and field execution, coordinating with designers, contractors, utilities, and regulators to ensure safety, quality, and on-time delivery.

You will oversee a multidisciplinary team, manage interfaces across packages, and drive disciplined change, risk, and performance reporting to program

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related discipline.
• Minimum 15 years of progressive construction management or resident engineering experience on major transit/heavy-civil projects.
• Experience leading large owner-side/PMCM field organization on complex transit or heavy-civil programs.
• Experience as Construction Manager or Resident Engineer on at least one contract valued at $500M+.
• Strong knowledge of collaborative-delivery contract administration, scheduling, cost control, and change management.

Responsibilities

• Build and lead field organization for GCCM, GC/CM, CMAR and related packages.
• Oversee contract administration—RFIs, change orders, progress payments, schedules, claims avoidance.
• Shape packaging, preconstruction decisions, and field plans from design to turnover.
• Coordinate corridor-wide construction logistics and interfaces with multiple stakeholders.
• Lead safety, quality, and performance across packages and interfaces.
• Mentor and develop the owner-side construction management team.
