Job summary

Davenergy Solutions seeks a full-time, onsite Construction Manager to support the Kerrville VA Medical Center in Kerrville, TX. You will act as Owner’s Representative, overseeing renovation and construction within an active government facility, ensuring safety, quality, and schedule adherence.

Candidates should bring a practical construction background, strong documentation skills, and the ability to communicate issues clearly to the Government team and stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Five years of observing and monitoring construction projects is preferred.
• Experience in construction management, QA/QC, inspection, or owner-side support on healthcare/federal projects.
• Ability to read and coordinate drawings, specs, and submittals.
• Familiarity with building codes and healthcare construction requirements is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform field inspections to verify materials, workmanship, and installations meet contract docs and codes.
• Monitor progress, milestones, phasing, and deliveries; flag delays or coordination issues.
• Review and comment on submittals, RFIs, tests, schedules, and related docs.
• Prepare daily reports and maintain organized project records and photos.
• Verify as-built conditions and maintain punch lists for government review.
• Assist with estimating change orders and evaluate proposed changes.
• Coordinate shutdowns and phased-work with VA facilities and stakeholders.
• Attend meetings and coordinate with PM, VA staff, contractors, and engineers.
• Support inspections, testing, commissioning, and project closeout activities.
• Support site safety through field observations and coordination with safety personnel.
