Job summary

Davenergy Solutions seeks a full-time, onsite Construction Manager to support the Fresno VA Medical Center project as part of the EHRM Infrastructure Upgrades Program. You will act as the Owner’s Representative, overseeing construction activities, documenting issues, and coordinating with VA staff, contractors, and engineers.

The role requires practical construction experience, strong documentation, and clear communication to keep project milestones on track in an active healthcare environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum five years observing and monitoring construction projects.
• Experience in construction management, QA/QC, inspection, superintendent work, or owner-side construction support on commercial, healthcare, federal, or institutional projects.
• Knowledge of construction practices and techniques, including proper application of materials and installation methods.
• Ability to read, interpret, and coordinate drawings, specifications, submittals, and other contract docs.
• Familiarity with data centers, telecom rooms, structured cabling, fiber optics, pathways, low-voltage, power, HVAC, grounding and bonding.
• Strong electrical/telecom/MEP experience encouraged.
• Knowledge of safety practices and OSHA requirements; healthcare construction codes helpful.
• Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform field inspections to verify materials, workmanship, and systems meet contract drawings and codes.
• Monitor progress, milestones, phasing, workflow, deliveries, testing, and schedule adherence; identify delays.
• Review project documentation and provide clear comments or recommendations.
• Prepare daily reports and maintain organized project records.
• Perform field verification of as-built conditions.
• Create and maintain punch lists and track deficiencies.
• Assist with estimating change orders and evaluation of proposed changes.
• Coordinate shutdowns and phased work with VA facilities personnel and stakeholders.
• Attend project meetings with PM, VA staff, contractors, engineers, and specialists.
• Coordinate inspections, testing, commissioning, punch lists, turnover, and closeout.
• Support site safety with contractor and VA Safety personnel.
