Job summary

Safety Management Group, LLC in Kenosha, WI seeks a local Owner’s Rep to coordinate environmental services for construction projects and ensure regulatory compliance. You will lead environmental plans, permits, documentation, and training for project teams and contractors.

Responsibilities include overseeing NPDES/RCRA, Stormwater, Air Permits, SPCC, site inspections, investigations, and audits. A Bachelor’s or Associate’s Degree in Environmental Studies or Geology and seven years’ experience

• Bachelor’s or Associate’s Degree in Environmental Studies, Geology, or similar is required.
• Must possess a thorough knowledge of environmental studies and regulatory compliance.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills and initiative.

• Develop and manage environmental plans, permits, documentation, and records.

• Lead environmental incident investigations and corrective actions.
• Deliver environmental training, guidance, and coaching to project teams and contractors.
• Support regulatory audits, agency interactions, and project-specific environmental programs.

SMG is seeking a local Owner’s Rep in Kenosha, WI to provide environmental services.

The Environmental Advisor is responsible for coordinating the implementation of environmental compliance programs, permit requirements, corporate environmental policies, standards, procedures, and strategic environmental goals within their assigned region, plant, and project scope.

Additional Information

• SMG full-time, benefitted Associates are eligible for Premium Pay after working 40 billable hours for the week. Premium pay is at a 1.35 multiplier.
• Annual pay/merit review/increase.

Overview of Job Responsibilities

• Provide environmental compliance oversight for construction activities.
• Support compliance with NPDES, RCRA, Stormwater, Air Permits, and SPCC requirements.

Requirements

• 7 years of environmental experience
• Previous work on construction projects performing environmental services
• A Bachelor’s or Associate’s Degree in Environmental Studies, Geology, or similar is required
• Must possess a thorough knowledge of environmental studies and regulatory compliance
• Ability to plan, organize, and problem-solve
• Have excellent written and oral communication skills and initiative
