Job summary

Insight Global's client is seeking a polished Construction Superintendent / Owner's Representative to oversee commercial vertical construction projects across the Hampton Roads area. You will act as the owner's on-site representative, coordinating the General Contractor, monitoring progress, and ensuring quality and safety standards are met while providing regular updates to internal leadership.

The ideal candidate has 7-10+ years of construction experience, including time with a commercial GC,

Qualifications

7-10+ years of construction experience with at least 2-4 years as a Superintendent.
Experience supporting commercial vertical construction projects (office, multifamily, mixed-use, retail).
Experience working for a commercial General Contractor (GC).
Strong understanding of means and methods, scheduling, quality control, and site safety.

Responsibilities

Serve as the primary field representative for ownership throughout project execution.
Manage and oversee the General Contractor to ensure projects stay on schedule and within budget.
Monitor progress, ensure safety standards, and provide regular updates to stakeholders.
Coordinate with architects, engineers, contractors, and project stakeholders.
Identify risks and proactively resolve issues impacting schedule, budget, or quality.
Ensure compliance with safety standards and local codes.
