Job summary

Insight Global's client is seeking an experienced General Superintendent to oversee field operations across multiple large-scale commercial construction projects throughout the Hampton Roads region. The role requires senior field leadership to drive project execution, mentor Superintendents, maintain safety and quality standards, and ensure projects are completed on schedule and within budget.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of commercial construction experience.
• 5+ years as General Superintendent overseeing multiple projects.
• Experience reading drawings, specifications, contracts, and project schedules.
• Ability to lead safety, schedule, and budget across sites.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and oversight for multiple Superintendents across several active construction projects.
• Manage manpower planning, workforce allocation, and field productivity across projects.
• Conduct regular jobsite visits to ensure safety, quality, schedule, and company standards.
• Mentor, coach, and develop Superintendents, Assistant Superintendents, and field personnel.
• Partner with Project Managers and Operations Leadership to drive project outcomes.
• Recruiting, onboarding, and workforce development initiatives.
• Build and maintain relationships with owners, clients, inspectors, subcontractors, architects, and engineers.
• Support operational planning and forecasting efforts for upcoming projects.
