Job summary

CAA ICON is seeking a motivated university student for a Summer 2027 in-person internship in Washington, DC. You will support construction and project coordination tasks within a collaborative team environment, gaining exposure to stadium technology, architectural design, and LEED practices.

The program runs May 17, 2027 – August 6, 2027. Housing stipend available for non-locals; interns are paid and provided a laptop and resources.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or Business with graduation date Spring/Summer/Winter 2027 or Spring/Summer 2028.
• Minimum GPA of 3.0 strongly preferred.
• Strong technical skills; Proficient in Word, Outlook, Excel, and Bluebeam.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Project preferred.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong organizational, multi-tasking, planning, and time management skills.
• Detail-oriented with ability to recognize discrepancies.
• Dependable, results-focused, and ethical.
• Able to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Assist with daily office needs and project coordination tasks.
• Maintain and coordinate a master project calendar and meeting logistics.
• Help with file maintenance and note-taking during meetings.
• Support event planning and project data collection for schedules.
• Monitor budgets, contracting costs, and expenditures.
• Assist with contract administration, correspondence, and document control.
• Coordinate with subcontractors, vendors, and staff.
• Review and process purchase orders and change orders.
• Provide client-facing task updates in meetings.
• Support site tours and capture site photos.
• Engage with diverse project areas including stadium technology and LEED practices.
