Job summary

Stantec seeks an Owner's Advisor experienced with Collaborative Delivery to join our program team and support DC Water in delivering a nearly $2-billion, 10-year capital program at the Blue Plains Advanced Wastewater Treatment Plant and upstream pump stations.

As part of Stantec’s PFPM team, the OA will manage one or more collaborative delivery contracts, coordinate with design engineers and contractors, and support procurement and design reviews on a large-scale wastewater project in the DC

Qualifications

• Registered as a Professional Engineer (P.E.) in the District of Columbia, or ability to obtain within 6 months.
• DBIA Certification preferred.
• Bachelor of Science degree in engineering and minimum fifteen (15) years of experience on multi-discipline construction projects with collaborative delivery experience.
• Experience with large water/wastewater treatment facilities.
• Experience in a co-located integrated team environment.
• Strong proficiency in MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).
• Experience with AutoDesk applications.
• Ability to read and comprehend construction plans, specifications, and inspection/test reports.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

Responsibilities

• Assists the owner with project delivery method selection and RFQ/RFP development.
• Reviews submittals for conformance and quality, keeping the owner informed.
• Reviews RFIs and informs owner about cost/time implications.
• Attends design meetings and coordinates activities among owner, engineers, contractors, and permitting agencies.
• Evaluates contractor proposals and GMP-related documents for owner feedback.
• Leads program field personnel and monitors construction status for budget/schedule.
• Observes contractor work for code and specification compliance.
• Coordinates inspections and documentation for substantial and final completion.
