Job summary

CDM Smith is seeking an experienced Owner’s Advisor to guide clients through complex water and wastewater infrastructure projects. You’ll provide expert consultation on planning, design, construction, and commissioning, coordinating with design teams, contractors, and regulators.

A Professional Engineer license is preferred but not required. This role may require onsite client facilities presence and regular travel to deliver hands-on support throughout project delivery.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree
• 15 years of related experience
• Domestic and/or international travel may be required
• Equivalent additional directly related experience will be considered in lieu of a degree

Responsibilities

• Serve as primary contact and advocate for the client throughout project delivery.
• Provide technical guidance on water and wastewater infrastructure, treatment processes, regulatory requirements.
• Review designs, plans and documents to ensure alignment with objectives and standards.
• Collaborate with design and construction teams to mitigate risks and ensure quality.
• Monitor project progress, budgets, schedules, and contracts.
• Facilitate communication among clients, engineers, regulators, and contractors.
• Support commissioning, startup, and operational readiness activities.
