Job summary

CDM Smith is seeking an experienced Owner’s Advisor to guide clients through complex water and wastewater infrastructure projects. You will supervise technical, regulatory, operational, and construction aspects from planning through commissioning.

Excellent communication, strong stakeholder management, and the ability to travel for hands-on project support are essential. A PE is preferred but not required, with significant travel anticipated across diverse projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• 15 years of related experience.
• Willingness to travel domestically and internationally.
• PE license preferred but not required.
• Experience as Owner’s Advisor on water/wastewater projects.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary client advocate throughout project delivery.
• Provide technical guidance on water and wastewater infrastructure and regulatory requirements.
• Review designs and construction documents for alignment with objectives and standards.
• Collaborate with design and construction teams to identify and mitigate risks.
• Monitor progress, budgets, schedules, contracts, and change orders.
• Facilitate communication among clients, contractors, engineers, and regulators.
• Conduct site visits to assess progress, quality, and safety.
• Support commissioning, startup, and operational readiness activities.
• Assist with proposals, RFP responses, and client pursuits.
