Qualifications

• Must have Valid CDL Class A
• Tanker Endorsement required
• Hazmat Endorsement preferred (must obtain within 90 days of hire; assistance available)
• TWIC Card preferred (or must obtain after hire)
• Minimum 1 year verifiable tanker driving experience
• At least 23 years of age
• Clean MVR and strong safety record
• Able to pass DOT physical, drug screening, and background check

Responsibilities

• Safe Transportation: Hauling chemical and petroleum products via tank trailers while following DOT regulations.
• Equipment Maintenance: Ensure truck meets inspection standards and remains in top condition for long-haul.
• Loading & Unloading: Follow procedures for ISO/Flexi-Bag or Tanker operations at loading and delivery points.
• Compliance & Documentation: Maintain logs, submit paperwork, and adhere to Hazmat regulations.
• Customer Service: Represent Altom Transport professionally at customer locations.
• Business Management: Manage fuel purchases, trip planning, and scheduling to maximize revenue.
• Meet mileage or hour requirements to contribute to operation success.
• Willing to work 24/7 when needed.
