Job summary

Altom Transport, a family-owned company built on trust, safety, and service, seeks an Owner Operator Driver to join our team in Texas. You will operate tank trailers hauling chemical and petroleum products, while maintaining DOT compliance and managing loads with independence and responsibility.

You are a business partner for Altom, with 1 year tanker experience; CDL A required with Hazmat endorsement preferred. We offer revenue sharing, fuel discounts, and 24/7 support to keep you productive.

Qualifications

• CDL Class A license required.
• Hazmat endorsement is preferred and must be obtained if not present within 90 days of hire.
• TWIC card is preferred or obtained after hire.

Responsibilities

• Safe Transportation: Haul chemical and petroleum products using tank trailers while DOT compliance is maintained.
• Equipment Maintenance: Ensure truck meets inspection standards and remains in top condition for long-haul success.
• Loading & Unloading: Follow procedures for ISO/Flexi-Bag or Tanker operations at loading and delivery points.
• Compliance & Documentation: Maintain logs, submit paperwork, and adhere to Hazmat regulations.
• Customer Service: Represent Altom Transport professionally at customer locations.
• Business Management: Manage fuel purchases, trip planning, and scheduling to maximize revenue.
• Maintain a steady workload by meeting mileage or hour requirements to contribute to operation success.
• Willing to be available 24/7 when needed.
