Job summary

Altom Transport, Inc. seeks an Owner Operator Driver who acts as a business owner within our operations. You will haul chemical and petroleum products using tank trailers and ensure compliance with DOT and Hazmat regulations.

You will manage loading, unloading, logs, and scheduling while maintaining a strong safety record and professional customer interactions across multiple terminals and routes.

Qualifications

• Must hold a valid CDL Class A license.
• Hazmat endorsement preferred or must obtain within 90 days of hire; assistance available.

Responsibilities

• Haul chemical and petroleum products using tank trailers while following DOT regulations.
• Maintain your truck to meet inspection standards for long-haul operations.
• Load and unload per ISO/Flexi-Bag or Tanker procedures at loading/delivery points.
• Keep accurate logs and paperwork; comply with Hazmat rules.
• Represent Altom Transport professionally at customer locations.
• Manage fuel purchases, trip planning, and scheduling to maximize revenue.
• Meet mileage or hour requirements to ensure steady workload.
• Be available for 24/7 operations when needed.
