Position Summary: Provides comprehensive administrative and clerical support for Owatonna Online, a statewide online learning program serving students in grades 4-12. The position serves as a primary administrative contact for students, families, staff, partner school districts, and community members and supports efficient program operations through enrollment and student records administration, scheduling and reporting support, fiscal processes, communications, technology coordination, and general office functions. Works closely with the principal, counselors, teachers, student support staff, technology staff, district departments, and partner districts. Regular and reliable in-person attendance at the designated worksite is required.
Position Requirements: High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required. An associate or technical degree, additional training in office administration, business, education, or a related field, or comparable office experience is preferred. Experience in a school district, with student information systems, or with online learning platforms is preferred. Training in basic first aid and/or Notary Public certification is beneficial.
Physical Demands: This work requires the occasional exertion of up to 20 pounds of force. Work regularly requires sitting, speaking or hearing, computer use, data entry, and repetitive hand movements and occasionally requires standing, walking, bending, reaching, pushing, pulling, or lifting. Work requires preparing and analyzing written or electronic information, communicating effectively by telephone and in person, and operating standard office equipment. Work may occasionally involve exposure to bloodborne pathogens and is generally performed in a school or business-office setting.
Other Skills & Abilities: Demonstrated excellent organizational, computer, customer-service, and interpersonal communication skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines; maintain accurate student, academic, enrollment, financial, and program records; exercise sound judgment; work independently and collaboratively; and maintain strict confidentiality regarding students, families, staff, and district information. Must be flexible and responsive in a growing online educational environment and able to learn and use district systems and educational technology, including Infinite Campus, Edgenuity/EdgeX, Pearson Connexus, Google Workspace, Microsoft Office, and district financial, purchasing, records, and reporting systems. Consistent and reliable attendance required.
Rate of Pay:
B-2-3 // $22.91 - $27.44/hour depending on experience
Schedule:
42 weeks/year M-F // 7:30 am - 2:30 pm
