Job summary

Pilot Assessments seeks a Captain to ensure safe, compliant operation of DHC-8 aircraft across overseas theaters. You will lead all mission phases—from planning and release to post-flight documentation—while upholding FAA regulations, client requirements, and company procedures.

As PIC, you will brief flights, file plans, verify airworthiness, and maintain meticulous records. The role requires strong CRM, risk management, and a track record in complex, safety-focused operations.

Qualifications

• Requires ATP with MEL rating (unrestricted or restricted acceptable).
• Must hold a valid FAA First Class Medical.
• US passport with at least 6 months validity remaining.

Responsibilities

• Serve as PIC for DHC-8 missions under FAA Part 135 and/or DCMA 8210.1D operations.
• Plan and brief flights: objectives, weather, terrain, performance, alternates, fuel/range, and special instructions.
• Prepare and file flight plans; ensure proper flight release and all required documentation onboard.
• Verify airworthiness, review maintenance status, resolve discrepancies, and conduct preflight inspections and risk assessments.
• Execute missions to approved flight plans and schedules; maintain regulatory and customer compliance at all times.
• Lead effective CRM and crew briefings; communicate safety and airworthiness matters proactively.
• Maintain accurate flight, duty, and mission records; adhere to SMS reporting requirements.
• Complete required training, proficiency checks, and recurrent evaluations to remain mission-ready.
