Job summary

Elk Hill Farm, Inc. is seeking an Overnight Residential Counselor to help maintain a safe, supportive group home environment for youth in Central Virginia.

You will document shifts, oversee daily care, provide positive role modeling, and support youths in reaching their goals within a structured service plan. The role requires a high school diploma, CPR/First Aid, and ongoing training in behavior management and medication aides; valid driver's license preferred.

Qualifications

• High-School diploma or equivalent preferred.
• CPR/First Aid certification required.
• Behavior Management training and medication aide certification required.
• Valid driver's license preferred.
• Experience with youth in residential settings preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain childcare standards during shifts with documentation.
• Provide a positive role model and build relationships with youth.
• Organize group activities and supervise group home operations.
• Administer medications and coordinate medical visits.
• Develop and implement individual service plans for students.
• Participate in supervision and staff development training.
• May work at another group home as needed.
• Support constructive family contact and involvement in community activities.
