Job summary

Little Flower Children and Family Services of New York is seeking Part-Time Youth Development Counselors for overnight shifts Sunday to Tuesday, 11 pm to 9 am. You will supervise children in a residential setting, ensure safety, and support daily routines and activities.

The nonprofit has provided prevention, foster care, residential treatment, and other services across New York since 1929. Starting at $18.00/hour, compensation reflects experience and responsibilities.

Qualifications

• Fluent English reading, writing and speaking required.
• Valid NYS driver’s license is required.
• Experience handling groups of children and teens preferred.
• Must participate in mandated TCI training during weekday evenings.

Responsibilities

• Supervise daily activities of children in a cottage and ensure rules are followed.
• Assist in organizing and participating in group activities, including supervising transport if needed.
• Instruct hygiene, supervise meals, and help with housekeeping of the residence.
• Record activity in the Cottage Log and prepare incident reports as required.
• Maintain safe, calm handling of children with emotional or behavioral needs.
