Job summary

Little Flower Children and Family Services of New York is seeking full-time Youth Development Counselors to supervise children in a residential setting on the Tuesday–Saturday 7am–3pm shift, ensuring safety, behavior management, and routine coordination. Starting at $18.00/hour.

Requirements: High School Diploma or GED, valid NYS driver's license, experience with children/teens, and willingness to complete mandated TCI training evenings; fluent English and basic computer skills are required.

Qualifications

Supervise daily activities of children in care and ensure safety.
Maintain calm and effective handling of situations.
Follow shifts, rules, and procedures; report as required.

Responsibilities

Supervise the activities of the children residing in the cottage; ensure rules and procedures are followed.
Assist in organizing, supervising and participating in recreational activities per shift.
Instruct children on personal hygiene; maintain cleanliness of the cottage.
Prepare and supervise meals and assist in housekeeping as needed.
Enter shift activity into the Cottage Log; prepare incident reports.
