Job summary

The Settlement Home for Children in Austin, TX is seeking a Full-Time Awake Night Staff to support youth safety and overnight care on Thursday through Sunday nights from 11pm to 9am. This role ensures residents follow schedules, maintains alerts, and documents daily events.

You will join a long‑standing, mission‑driven nonprofit that values trauma‑informed care and safety. CPR/First Aid certification and background checks are required; driving record must be clean.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Must be at least 21 years old.
• Must pass pre-employment drug and TB tests.
• Criminal background must be clear for licensed child care work.
• Valid driver's license with clean driving record and liability insurance.

Responsibilities

• Supervise youth, ensure adherence to schedule and rules, keep group under supervision.
• Enforce cottage rules, routines, and track residents' whereabouts.
• Maintain cottage and resident cleanliness at all times.
• Document daily life, incidents, medical needs and treatments in charts.
• This role may require restraints; training provided before participation.

Education
