Job summary

Talentify in Totowa, NJ is seeking an Overnight Receiving Supervisor to direct daily warehouse operations, supervise warehouse specialists, order pickers and forklift operators, and coordinate the freight schedule to meet store needs.

You will ensure safety and training, enforce SOPs, manage inventory, oversee equipment maintenance, and collaborate with other departments to maintain accurate shipping and receiving flows, especially during peak seasons.

Qualifications

• 1-3 years of previous supervisory experience in warehouse or distribution.
• Excellent interpersonal, team building, delegating and follow-up skills.
• Ability to work with and maintain effective relationships with other departments.
• Effective communication skills (oral and written).
• Basic mathematical calculations.
• Strong computer skills; able to work in Windows-based systems.
• Able to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
• Available to work extended hours, especially during peak seasons.

Responsibilities

• Schedule warehouse personnel daily to ensure proper staffing for shipping and receiving.
• Direct day-to-day warehouse activities: shipping, receiving, maintenance, inventory control.
• Manage warehouse related to Storage Buy transactions and receiving errors.
• Maintain warehouse equipment with preventive maintenance and report repairs.
• Enforce warehouse safety programs per OSHA/state regulations.
• Train associates and ensure SOP adherence.
• Handle employee inquiries and resolve problems.
• Coordinate with other departments for efficient operations.
• Complete activity reports for management.
• Monitor paperwork flow from Receiving to Inventory Control.
• Resolve discrepancies with shipping, invoices, packing slips, receiver reports.
• Execute Storage Buy Audit COP.
• Ensure products are staged for counting and inspection.
• Store products properly to conserve space and safety.
• Oversee inventory rotation.
• Perform other duties as directed.
